Routes in Marpissa 2023

In Between
August 25, 26, 27

Marpissa in Paros will welcome us again this year in its welcoming courtyards, paving alleys, squares and church forecourts, on the occasion of the 13th Routes in Marpissa festival.

This time having the route map as a guide, the bougainvilleas as signposts and the scents of jasmine and herbs as a compass, we will travel to a time when “togetherness” in everyday life, joy and sadness was a given, and the boundaries between personal and public not always distinct.

The diverse program of this year’s festival includes, among other things, a contemporary art exhibition entitled “My mother’s name is the name of a river” curated by Despina Zefkili, a series of music workshops for children, who will be invited to form a string orchestra under the guidance of musician Jeben Klapakis, a jazz music concert with the Mihalis Kalkanis Group and a musical performance-tribute to the songs of Sotiria Bellou. The curtain of the festival will close, with Nikos Economides and Kyriaki Spanou.
