The works of the exhibition are oil on canvas from the artist’s recent work and indicative of his past associations as well as sculptural constructions made of marble and stone from Paros.

The artist, taciturn and quiet, records in his works, in the form of psychogeography, in a very special way and intense personal writing his view of the world and his philosophical approach of life, filtered thoughts and knowledge from the rich experience he has lived in many countries.
He came to Paros in the 90’s and since then he lives and works both in Paris and Paros.

His works often refer to Japanese Gardens, although the mental dimension of the landscapes is always evident, perhaps because Frédéric Bootz is French, but also due to his Japan origins (his grandmother was from a royal family in Japan).
He is a multidimensional artist whose activities cover the entire spectrum of visual arts, from painting and sculpture to stage design.

He was a permanent collaborator (from 1964 until 2013 when it closed) of the historic Galerie Ariel of Paris, (140 boulevard Haussmann, collaborators: Appel, Debré, Alechinsky, Dubuffet Poliakoff) with gallerist Jean Pollak, who had highlighted the movement CO.M.BRA and trafficked the works of Joan Miró.
